We leased a Volvo XC60 in 2021 from McGrath Volvo. We loved the car, but for various reasons, we really did not think we were going to lease another Volvo when our lease ran out. McGrath was very good about contacting me about upcoming specials starting about 6 months before our lease. I really didn't think we would lease another Volvo, mostly because of price. When it was closer to our lease end date, Luke Wozniak, contacted me and basically presented a deal I couldn't refuse. He then drove the car to our house to test drive and then when we picked it up the next day, he patiently answered all our questions. He then came out to our house again to sync the Volvo Car App. Fantastic service. A++ to Luke. update to this review on 3/17/2025- I had purchased a bike rack for the Volvo that unfortunately did not fit our ebikes. We didn't put it on until the end of last month when we were leaving for a trip. I called Greg Domaszewski, the GM to explain the problem and they are issuing me a refund. This is excellent customer service!!

When we bought a car and was picking it up he used over an hour to go over all its features and answered all the questions I had when I got home and tried to pair my car with the phone for remote start option. Prior to purchasing my first ever “new used car” with McGrath Volvo in Barrington, I drove a Toyota with 230,000 miles on it. I’m very excited to be owning a luxury sedan Volvo and the process was completely reputable. Found the car looking online, it was a solid posting on McGrath Volvo Cars Barrington and from there called to set an appointment to look at the car. My parents and I met with Derrick a very good hearted salesman who showed us the ins n outs of the vehicle. It was the right car for me so then Alex was pulled into the picture for negotiation of price which went very reasonably. It’s always an interesting experience negotiating perks, car detailing packages, etc. We were able to come to a very reasonable agreement where it made sense to purchase the car. When purchasing the car I had a certain amount budgeted to pay in cash so my experience with Din (finance manager) was smooth to say the least. Signed a few papers, and paid in full. Also, Din provided some quality insight on some of the warranty offers which was helpful. Not something I anticipated to purchase but considering some of the circumstances that Din brought to my attention it became a well-thought out plan to consider. All in all I spent years of hard work to get myself in a position to purchase a vehicle and I wouldn’t have wanted it to go any other way. fyi - they’ve got a really great hot beverage machine in the showroom!

The car buying process was streamlined and easy. However, my review is of Mike Patla in the Service department. This guy went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure the USED car we bought from them was in tip top condition for my 16 year old driver. One of the windows was not working - Mike (and his team) were not only able to find the problem on a 2014 VW - but also diligently communicated while waiting on a backordered part. Mike was patient and professional and answered all of the questions that I had. I cannot remember the last time I received this level of customer service - when I am in the market for another vehicle - McGrath Volvo will be at the top of my list.
